Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive bedside nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients, working collaboratively with physicians to develop and implement effective care plans. Oversees and delegates responsibilities to nursing support staff while ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer bedside nursing care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Follow medical orders accurately and adjust care plans as needed.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, and other support staff.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all nursing interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in the EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent OB/GYN nursing experience.
• Hold an active State Nursing License in Michigan.
• Be current with AWHONN certifications within the last two years.
• Maintain certifications in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
