MedStar Health's Wound Healing Institute at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital offers the most advanced wound care for complex or chronic sores, ulcers, and infections. Our comprehensive services range from diabetes education and wound prevention to sophisticated reconstructive surgeries that prevent limb loss. We also have experts in hyperbaric medicine, and we're the only hyperbaric oxygen therapy program accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society in Washington, D.C.

General Summary Of Position

Facilitates the operational management and administration of those activities which promote the delivery of safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care to an ambulatory population. Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process to assist with patient care for the program under the supervision of the attending physicians. Provides patient and family education, facilitates QA/QI activities, in-service for nursing and non-nursing personnel, and assists with research protocols as indicated. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MGUH's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 4 days per week, 7 am - 5 pm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree Nursing required, Master's degree Nursing preferred
• 3-4 years patient care experience involving supervising nursing staff and designing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in District of Columbia required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required

This position has a hiring range of USD $89.00 - USD $162,000.00 /Yr.
