- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns including:
- 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990
- Review financial statements and accounting records for tax preparation
- Reconcile business accounts including bank statements, credit cards, and fixed assets
- Serve as a key liaison between partners and clients
- Perform tax research and provide well-reasoned conclusions
- Assist with mentoring and supporting junior staff as needed
- 5+ years of tax experience within a CPA firm environment
- Strong experience preparing complex individual and business returns
- CPA or EA preferred (not required)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax or similar tax software
- Solid understanding of payroll, depreciation, A/P, and A/R
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
- Professional communication and client-service mindset
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
