Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and measurements for physician interpretation.
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color-flow imaging.
- Perform vascular studies such as carotid duplex, arterial/venous Doppler, and other peripheral vascular examinations as required.
- Accurately document patient history, clinical indications, measurements, and preliminary technical findings.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Cardiac Sonography/Vascular Technology program.
- Demonstrated experience performing echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, ultrasound principles, and Doppler techniques.
- Ability to independently perform studies and recognize technically inadequate imaging requiring additional views.
- Experience working in a cardiology or multispecialty outpatient clinical environment preferred.
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) preferred/required for cardiac echo.
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred/required for vascular studies.
- ARDMS credentials in the applicable specialty areas preferred.
- BLS certification required.
