Registered Nurse

Title Nurses, Registered Location Taberg Residential Center for Girls, 10011 Taberg-Florence Rd., Taberg, NY 13471 Hours 40 hours per week. Choice of four 10‑hour shifts (6 a.m. – 4 p.m.) or six 8‑hour shifts (6 a.m. – 2 p.m.). Additional pass days per facility need. Qualifications Licensed and registered to practice nursing in New York State. Summary of Need To provide nursing interventions and medication administration consistent with a systematic problem‑solving approach for comprehensive nursing care in a juvenile correctional setting, compliant with regulatory standards. Facility Overview Taberg Residential Center for Girls is located in the central region of New York State, northwest of Rome. The facility serves female juvenile offenders. Youth may remain in OCFS custody until 21. Accredited by the American Correctional Association, it houses approximately 25 youth. Free parking is available on site. Dress code is business casual or scrubs. No vaccine requirements. Supervision staff present during nursing care. Job Duties Maintain general medical inventory, including controlled substances. Conduct medication administration. Review overall health conditions of youth and prepare, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans. Ensure interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in staff trainings. Prepare required clinical and administrative reports. Maintain infection control standards.
