Qualifications & Required Experience

• Active NY Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS Certification from AHA required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring
• Background in psychiatric/behavioral health strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake assessments and gather medical case histories
• Develop and implement evidence-based nursing care plans
• Provide nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options in consultation with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff
• Administer psychotropic medications and monitor patient reactions
• Coordinate further medical attention as needed, ensuring patient safety and well-being
• Educate patients on emotional disturbances and the importance of treatment adherence
• Monitor vital signs, respond to pain management needs, and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Uphold patient confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping, including immunizations and lab results
• Perform routine administrative duties and respond promptly to service requests
