Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedic/Trauma Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd shift, 12-hour nights every other weekend Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Current Registered Nurse License in Wisconsin or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC Certifications: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) Must-Have: Clinical competence, patient care management, nursing theory, nursing practice Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN job description includes essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. The role requires clinical competence and experience in care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is expected. An associate's degree in nursing is required. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Current state licensure and Basic Life Support certification are mandatory.
