Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides skilled medical-surgical nursing care to patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment through comprehensive nursing procedures and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans.
• Document patient status, treatments, and progress in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and changes in condition.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and current certification as required by state regulations.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of recent med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Possess proficiency in Meditech or similar electronic health record systems (preferred).
• Be willing to work night shifts, weekends, and participate in rotating schedules.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
