As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. This position will be scheduled 16-20 hours per week, 1 - 1 1/2 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering the NRMC location and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.What You'll Be DoingProviding nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants. Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements. Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition. Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.What We're Looking ForMust-haves:Bachelor's degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related fieldMaster's degree in Nutrition or related fieldPassed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibilityCompletes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development processLicensed or certified, per state requirementsKnowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rightsAbility to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dieteticsNice-to-haves:Experience working in healthcare or long-term careWhere you'll be working: Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, located in Natchitoches, LA Connected location: Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing HomePart-Time Benefits:DentalVisionDiscount programCommuter benefits (parking and transit)EAP401kSick timeHoliday pay (9 paid holidays)Compensation Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experienceAbout Cura: Cura serves hospitals, senior living centers, and other long-term care facilities.
