Associate / Senior Associate – Accounting & Bookkeeping

Location: On-site in Milbank, SD

Job Type: Full-time

• Financial Records Management: Maintain accurate records including AP/AR, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and general ledger reconciliations

• Accounting Software Setup: Configure charts of accounts, invoice templates, contacts, and reporting formats

• Software Integrations: Coordinate integrations with platforms like QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, Gusto, Bill, and others

• Month-End Close: Reconcile balance sheet schedules and deliver timely financial statements

• Client Relationships: Provide exceptional service through phone, video, and email communication

• Workflow Documentation: Build and document onboarding workflows in our project management system

• Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with Account Managers to ensure consistency and quality

• Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to streamline operations

• A love for puzzles, numbers, and solving challenges

• Strong computer skills—you’re fluent in accounting software, cloud platforms, and M365

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other financial tools

• Comfort with client-facing communication, both written and video

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in solving problems

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Resourcefulness and a solution-oriented mindset

• Experience developing and documenting workflows from scratch

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (preferred)

• 1–5 years of bookkeeping experience (depending on level)
