Requirements License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 1+ years of practice Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Computer Skills: Must have good typing and computer skills. Professionalism: Must carry a professional demeanor at all times. Work Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience in a public health setting. Certification: Current CPR Certification required. Preferences Education: Certificate of Dental Assistant from an accredited education institution preferred. Job Description Role Overview: The Dental Assistant will assist the Dentist in providing quality dental care to adult and pediatric patients within a general dentistry practice. Clinical Duties: Assists with dental procedures, sets up and prepares treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments, autoclaves tools, and disinfects examination areas per OSHA guidelines. Prepares materials for restorations, exposes radiographs, and processes dental x-rays with familiarity in digital x-rays. Administrative Duties: Maintains patient dental records and chart filing, orders and takes inventory of dental supplies, schedules and confirms appointments, answers phone calls, and triages dental emergencies.
