Job Description

This role supports a high-speed manufacturing operation by performing preventive and reactive maintenance on multiple production lines during the 3rd shift. You will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain safe, efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on extrusion and related production equipment in a very fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Oversee and support maintenance activities for approximately 10 production lines, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent product quality.
• Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase motors, including rewiring and changing motor rotation as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues on industrial machinery and support systems.
• Read and interpret inputs and outputs for control systems to identify faults and determine corrective actions.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting to assist in identifying and resolving control-related issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production calls, prioritizing tasks based on safety and production impact.
• Conduct routine inspections on equipment to identify potential problems and address them before they cause unplanned downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with production and other maintenance team members to coordinate work, share information, and maintain a safe and efficient operation.
• Walk between facilities as needed to perform maintenance tasks in different areas of the plant.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with electrical and mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in plastics or extrusion manufacturing environments.
• Background working in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Comfort working with industrial electrical systems and mechanical components in a production setting.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $83200.00/yr. 401k, PTO, Medical, Dental & Vision, ST & LT Disability, AD&D, etc.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Columbus, OH.
