Role Overview

As a Senior Security Engineer at Packaged Agile, you will provide technical leadership helping a federal client protect sensitive information as it rapidly expands its use of AI. You will work on a delivery team standing up enterprise data security posture management capabilities across cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and developer environments, with a focus on governing and protecting how AI is used.

This is a fully remote position. You must be able to work Eastern time core hours, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. Occasional travel of roughly one to two days per quarter. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on major tasks and technical assignments, working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of the product

• Establish goals and plans that meet product objectives

• Plan, manage, and provide technical oversight for security engineering activities

• Perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews

• Develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities

• Conduct research to identify new attack vectors

• Support developers in creating secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users

• Apply key security and privacy requirements to select the appropriate technology and design secure business solutions

Requirements

• US Citizenship with the ability to pass a Public Trust clearance process with a US Government client

• CISSP certification is required

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience. In place of that, either a master's degree or higher and 8 years of experience, or 14 years of experience with no degree

• Extensive knowledge and experience in IT security design, operations, encryption, information access, and authentication processes

• Experience serving as the security engineer on complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment

• Experience bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision

• Domain and expert technical knowledge, with a track record of leading major technical assignments

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

• White-hat hacking experience

• Fundamental computer science concepts

• Candidates who live in an SBA HUBZone

Compensation

• Salary range: $125,000 - $139,000
