Scheduler

Scheduler Use the assigned scheduling system to book outpatient and inpatient appointments. Gather appropriate patient information needed at the time of scheduling. Develop positive relationships with physician office staff and other referral sources. Work quickly and professionally to correct any scheduling conflicts. Confirm daily appointment schedules. Maintain adequate office supplies and forms for departmental use. Maintain an organized record keeping system ensuring all needed information is entered accurately and appropriately. Obtain authorization for tests and procedures when required. Experience/Qualifications: Must have high school diploma or GED. Medical Terminology, ICD-10 coding and secretary science courses desirable. Must have 2 years of experience in an office or hospital setting where scheduling and secretarial duties are utilized.
