Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a versatile Registered Nurse for a float position within a telemetry department. The role involves providing high-quality patient care across various units including Medical, Oncology, Surgical, Progressive Care, and Emergency Hold, primarily during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in multiple units, including PCU, MS, ED holds, and Oncology.
• Float seamlessly between units, adapting to diverse patient needs and unit protocols.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergent situations with critical clinical judgment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Maintain proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner, and stay current on clinical updates.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and Dysrhythmia testing certification.
• Demonstrated experience with PCU, Medical, Surgical, or Emergency Department units.
• Ability to float confidently across multiple units, including Progressive Care and Oncology.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Must have reliable transportation, as public transit options are limited.
