Job Summary \n
\nWe are seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist. The physician will deliver high-quality, evidence-based cancer care, develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patient safety through accurate treatment planning and documentation.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities: \n
Clinical Patient Care \n
\nEvaluate new and established patients, including consultations, follow-up visits, simulations, and on-treatment evaluations.\n
\nReview medical records, pathology, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory results to develop evidence-based treatment plans.\n
\nCoordinate patient care with internal departments and outside healthcare facilities as needed.\n
\nTreat a broad range of malignant and benign conditions, including:\n
\nBreast Cancer\n
\nGenitourinary Cancers\n
\nHead & Neck Cancers\n
\nCentral Nervous System Tumors\n
\nGynecologic Cancers\n
\nThoracic Cancers\n
\nGastrointestinal Cancers\n
\nHematologic Malignancies\n
\nBenign conditions such as keloids, heterotopic ossification, acoustic schwannomas, trigeminal neuralgia, and Graves ophthalmopathy.\n

Radiation Oncology Procedures \n
\nPerform and interpret nasopharyngoscopy.\n
\nDeliver advanced radiation therapy techniques, including:\n
\nStereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT/SABR)\n
\nStereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)\n
\nFractionated Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (FSRT)\n
\nTotal Body Irradiation (TBI)\n
\n3D Conformal Radiation Therapy\n
\nIntensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)\n
\nVolumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)\n
\nElectron Therapy\n
\nDeep Inspiratory Breath Hold (DIBH)\n
\n4D CT-based treatment planning\n
\n
Treatment Planning & Quality Assurance \n
\nObtain informed consent prior to radiation treatment.\n
\nSupervise CT simulation procedures, patient positioning, immobilization, contrast administration, and treatment setup.\n
\nComplete contouring within established timelines and review dosimetry plans promptly.\n
\nReview daily image guidance, including:\n
\nCone Beam CT (CBCT)\n
\nMV Portal Imaging\n
\nkV Imaging\n
\nMarker Matching\n
\nParticipate in weekly chart rounds and quality assurance activities to ensure safe and effective patient care.\n
\n
Documentation \n
\nComplete accurate and timely medical documentation, including:\n
\nHistory & Physicals\n
\nConsultation Notes\n
\nFollow-up Notes\n
\nTreatment Summaries\n
\nOn-Treatment Visit Notes\n
\nEnsure documentation is completed within required timeframes.\n
\n
Multidisciplinary Collaboration \n
\nParticipate in tumor boards, department meetings, and multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences.\n
\nCollaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.\n
\n
Clinical Research & Education \n
\nEvaluate eligible patients for clinical trial participation.\n
\nSupport clinical research activities in accordance with established protocols.\n
\nParticipate in resident, student, and staff education when applicable.\n
\nAttend continuing medical education (CME) activities as approved.\n
\n
Education \n
\nDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)\n
\nCompletion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Radiation Oncology\n
\n
Experience \n
\nMinimum of 24 months of Radiation Oncology experience within the last 3 years\n
\nBoard Certification\n
\nBoard Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)\n
\n
Licensure \n
\nActive, unrestricted Mississippi Medical License
