ASSOCIATE CHEMIST Position Overview We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Associate Chemist to support Product Development, Quality Control/Assurance, Manufacturing, and EHS activities across multiple sites. Responsibilities include laboratory testing, product evaluation, environmental and pathogen monitoring, documentation, and customer and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to support product development, product quality, safe operations, environmental sampling/testing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment producing industrial and institutional cleaners, lubricants, and sanitizers. Key Responsibilities Support product development, formulation evaluation, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement. Perform quality control testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products according to established specifications and procedures. Support environmental sampling, environmental monitoring, and pathogen testing, as applicable. Maintain accurate laboratory records, procedures, specifications, and controlled documents. Operate laboratory instruments and assist with equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Support investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), audits, and quality management systems. Follow company safety policies, laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Promptly communicate test results, deviations, and potential safety concerns. Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and EHS teams to support business objectives and identify improvement opportunities. Laboratory Equipment Equipment may include Brookfield Viscometer (RV/LV), Cannon-Fenske Viscometer, Tapping Torque tester, pH and conductivity meters, Tensiometer, Spectrophotometer, and Molecular Detection System for pathogen testing. Prior experience is beneficial, but willingness to learn is essential. Qualifications and Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. 0–2 years of relevant laboratory, manufacturing, product development, or quality control experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity with laboratory safety, chemical handling, and safe work practices. Ability to follow company policies, established procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn laboratory software and testing methods. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and contribute to continuous improvement. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to work safely in laboratory and manufacturing environments and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to safely handle laboratory chemicals and materials in accordance with established procedures. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach as required to perform laboratory and manufacturing-support activities.
