Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN to provide exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical environment. The ideal candidate will possess specialized skills and flexibility to meet facility demands and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients pre, intra, and post-operation within the ambulatory OR.
• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all equipment, supplies, and sterile protocols are in place prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and supporting operative workflow.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to emergencies, and document all clinical interventions accurately.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential coverage in perioperative units as required.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and infection control standards, including radiation badges and relevant certifications.

Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina RN license or eligibility, with proof of application if pending.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nurse experience, with preferred backgrounds in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology.
• Current BLS certification and radiation badge as required by the facility.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures.
• Demonstrated understanding of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative protocols.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 3x12s or 4x10s days.
