Location: Charles City, Virginia
Employment Type: As Needed (PRN) Contract
Job SummaryVision Quest Solutions is seeking a PRN Dentist to provide comprehensive dental services in support of the Indian Health Service (IHS) at the Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center. This is a non-personal services contract providing coverage for provider absences, vacancies, and other staffing needs. Services are performed on an as-needed basis during normal clinic hours.
Requirements: Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages.
- Perform examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive dental services.
- Perform restorative procedures, extractions, endodontic procedures, periodontal care, and emergency dental treatment.
- Interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications within the scope of practice.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate.
- Maintain complete and timely electronic medical records.
- Participate in clinic meetings as requested.
- Follow all IHS and Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center policies and infection control standards.
- DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental program.
- Active, unrestricted dental license.
- Minimum of 12 months of recent clinical dental experience within the past 5 years.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Board Certified.
- DEA registration (required for credentialing).
- Professional liability insurance of at least $1M/$3M.
- Ability to obtain IHS credentialing, privileging, security clearance, and background investigation.
- PRN/As Needed
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- No weekends
- Federal holidays observed.
