Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Professional Nurse position available in Bethel, Alaska. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care through all phases of perioperative nursing, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position offers a rotating shift schedule, with minimum weekly hours of 36.

• Required Qualifications: An Associate Degree in Nursing from an NLN approved institution, valid and active license in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in perioperative nursing or relevant practice.
• Preferred Qualifications: National Certification in Surgery/PACU.
• Additional Information: For the first week, guaranteed hours will not apply since orientation begins on a Tuesday. All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID vaccinations. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication, technical skills related to nursing care, and knowledge of AORN standards and medical terminology. Ability to interpret diagnostic tests, document care actions, and follow clinical guidelines is essential. Flexibility in work schedule and independence in care delivery are required.
