IT Project Manager

Location Tampa, FL (Firm's global operations center) General Description We are seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team. The role leads cross‑functional initiatives from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects meet defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations and maintains stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead cross‑functional projects from initiation through completion using PMO defined methodologies, tools, and governance. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and timelines. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs. Coordinate project activities across business and technical teams to maintain momentum and delivery focus. Manage vendor activities, including participation in RFP development, evaluation, and oversight of contracted deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and facilitate alignment across business, technical, and functional partners. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and proactively and deliver accurate stakeholder‑appropriate reporting and updates. Identify, assess, and manage project‑level risks, issues, and dependencies; develop and track mitigation plans; and assess impact of scope, schedule, resources, or priority changes. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking in accordance with PMO standards; track actuals and address budget variances. Coordinate project‑level resource planning and capacity considerations. Maintain accurate project documentation, including charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and change requests; ensure compliance with governance and quality controls. Support change management activities by identifying stakeholder impacts and contributing to communication and training planning. Required Skills Cross‑functional project leadership from initiation through delivery Project planning, scheduling, and milestone management Expertise in triple constraint: scope, schedule, and budget management Working knowledge of risk, issue, and dependency management Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills Experience using project management tools, templates, and governance processes Ability to coordinate vendors and provide contract delivery oversight Change impact assessment and adoption support Resource planning and capacity coordination Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365 Required Qualifications & Education Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3–5 years of professional project management experience. Demonstrated experience delivering medium‑complexity business and/or technology projects. Experience working in a PMO or governed delivery environment. Preferred Qualifications & Education PMP certification. Previous experience in a law firm (plus). Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
