The Retail General Manager oversees all aspects of store operations in a single-store environment, managing a medium team of 11 to 30 employees. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day activities, efficient staff management, and delivering excellent customer service through both in-store and online sales channels. The manager will utilize payroll software and other tools to support operational effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities

• Hire and train retail staff to maintain high performance standards
• Manage cash handling and ensure accuracy in transactions
• Order and receive inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Oversee product processing and merchandising to enhance store appeal
• Administer payroll and staff scheduling efficiently
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries
• Coordinate advertising efforts to drive store traffic and sales
• Manage all daily store operations ensuring smooth business flow

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts
• Retail and inventory management expertise
• Proficiency in cash handling and payroll processing
• Strong skills in staff training and scheduling
• Customer service and advertising knowledge
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication abilities
