Therapists hold advanced degrees and have specialized training in pediatric development, collaborating closely with prescribing physicians and parents to support optimal outcomes. Goals are regularly reassessed and updated as children progress or new concerns arise. Kidworks therapists work with children from birth through age 18 who present with a wide range of developmental and functional challenges. Role Description This is a full-time/ part time hybrid Pediatric Physical Therapist role based in Chesterton, IN. The Pediatric Physical Therapist will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct, evidence‑based physical therapy interventions for children from infancy through adolescence. Daily responsibilities include documenting assessments and progress notes, updating goals, and adjusting plans of care in collaboration with families and prescribing providers. The role involves educating caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support functional gains in daily routines. The therapist will also participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, contribute to team meetings as needed, and maintain professional and regulatory compliance in all clinical activities. Qualifications Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Specialized skills in Pediatric Physical Therapy and Pediatrics, including knowledge of motor development and pediatric conditions. Understanding of Medicine as it relates to pediatric diagnoses, contraindications, and coordination of care with healthcare providers. Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Experience working with children ages 0–18, preferably in an outpatient or pediatric setting. Effective communication and caregiver education skills, with the ability to collaborate in a family‑centered, team‑based environment. Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist children as needed for therapeutic activities.
