Inventory Control Manager

Inventory Control Manager 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm As the Inventory Control Manager, you will develop the ICQA analytics strategy and design analytics-based tools and reporting capabilities that are technically sophisticated yet easy to use. You will monitor trends, analyze issues, recommend improvements, and provide leadership and training to a team of Inventory Analysts. Your role is critical to sustaining long-term success at GXO. What You’ll Do on a Typical Day Develop solutions that leverage and expand inventory analytics capabilities to drive accuracy and integrity of inventory systems. Drive the strategic and tactical design and deployment of BI inventory analysis and reporting packages. Ensure analytical reporting capabilities enhance KPI attainment, business results, and decision‑making processes. Provide leadership and training to Inventory Analysts to accomplish company goals. Create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across operational, planning, BI, and data analytics areas. Engage stakeholders to align priorities, build and execute development plans, and communicate recommendations. Define and enforce standards to sustain effectiveness; experiment with and promote adoption of new tools and approaches when appropriate. Mentor and train analytical resources in best practices; simplify and communicate success stories to broader audiences. What You Need to Succeed at GXO 4 years of inventory control experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with computerized scanner equipment. Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends. It’d Be Great if You Also Have Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Certified Business Intelligence Professional (TDWI) and R/Python certifications. 3+ years’ experience delivering BI and data analytics solutions that involve statistical modeling. Understanding of data warehouse concepts such as patterns for time variance and generic versus explicit data structures; standards‑based approaches for object names and data types; using logical data models to document and explain business objectives. Experience handling both structured and unstructured data to recognize patterns and generate insights. Understanding of best practices and principles in SQL, query design, data validation/automation, and analytic functions. We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
