SmartHire is looking for a high impact Recruiter to join a client in Lacey WA. This is a full time, direct hire position that is fully onsite. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recruiting within transportation/logistics/warehouse industry.


Recruiter

Location: Lacey WA

Salary: $31-$39 an hour DOE + full benefits including vacation, paid holidays, medical, dental. Vision, life, 401k and more

Schedule: M-F flexible start time between 7am - 9am - onsite - full time


Industry: Distribution

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and move candidates efficiently through the hiring process.

• Build talent pipelines through agencies, schools, community partners, career fairs, and hiring events.

• Manage candidate records and interview updates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

• Screen, interview, and recommend candidates while supporting offers and internal transfers.

• Maintain knowledge of warehouse and transportation roles through job shadowing.

• Collaborate with recruiters and HR while supporting compliance and other projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using an ATS.

• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and recordkeeping skills.

• Excellent attention to detail, professional judgment, and discretion.

• Ability to collaborate across all levels and manage changing priorities.

• Ability to travel periodically to CDL schools, hiring events, and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of recruiting experience, within a large organization.

• Recruiting experience within logistics, transportation desired


• Experience interviewing and assessing candidates for warehouse operations.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field a plus
