Position Title: Product Designer

Location: Hybrid 2-3 days On-Site in New Orleans, LA

Duration: 6-Month Contract, Potential for Extensions

Pay Rate: $40-$65/Hour - Depending on experience and qualifications

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Product Designer for a top electric utility client. This candidate will help shape how AI is integrated into employees’ everyday workflows by creating intuitive, scalable, and engaging digital experiences. They will partner cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders to conduct research, identify user needs, map workflows, and translate insights into user flows, wireframes, and polished Figma designs. The ideal candidate brings a human-centered approach, strong systems thinking, and the ability to balance user needs with accessibility, regulatory, and technical requirements.

Day to Day:

Design intuitive, scalable digital products that incorporate AI into employee workflows
Partner with Product Managers, engineers, data scientists, senior designers, and business stakeholders
Participate in user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing
Identify user pain points and opportunities for improving internal AI products
Map current processes and employee workflows with Product Managers
Translate research and business requirements into wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity Figma designs
Design within accessibility, regulatory, and technical constraints
Contribute to and maintain consistency with the design system
Help drive adoption of AI-powered solutions across the organization

Required Experience and Qualifications:

3+ years of Product Design or UX/UI Design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web and mobile products
Advanced proficiency with Figma
Strong understanding of information architecture, visual design, and interaction design
Experience participating in user research and translating findings into actionable design recommendations
Experience working within or contributing to a design system
Ability to translate user insights and business requirements into wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs

Nice to Have Experience:

Accessibility experience
Motion design experience
Experience designing AI-powered products or internal enterprise tools
