Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will exhibit proficiency in handling a variety of emergency situations and deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting and reporting significant changes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Manage emergency situations effectively while maintaining patient safety.
  • Assist in coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, PALS (ENPC and NRP certifications are a bonus).
  • Prior Emergency Department experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
  • Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 4 patients.
  • Typical patient volume: 70-85 per day.
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts, day and night.
  • Weekend requirement: Every third weekend.
  • Holiday requirement: Two holidays per year.
  • Unit orientation: 1-2 days of specific training before independent practice.
  • Scrub Color: Navy.
