About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Travelers with no previous experience are welcome. EPIC experience required. Description: This position requires working three 12-hour shifts on days. Shifts are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Every other weekend is required. Holidays will be scheduled as needed. Floating to other units is required as part of the role. This unit manages laboring patients with high acuity needs. Experience with labor and delivery is essential. Applicants should possess strong skills in various labor-related procedures. Critical responsibilities will include aiding in high-risk deliveries and administering medications. The position involves managing and monitoring patients throughout the delivery process. A strong understanding of fetal heart rate patterns and interventions is necessary. Teamwork and effective communication skills are vital in this high-pressure environment. Utilizing advanced monitoring systems and maintaining patient safety is integral to the role. Candidates should be prepared to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
