SCHWING America is looking for an experienced 1st Shift Welder to join our manufacturing team. If you take pride in producing strong, clean welds and want a Monday–Friday day-shift schedule, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Our Welders perform precision welding on heavy equipment components while working from blueprints and established AWS and company quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld locations, components, and layouts.
• Perform position welding on component parts according to prints and specifications.
• Review daily production requirements with the Production Lead.
• Perform grinding, deburring, and polishing to produce high-quality finished components.
• Inspect completed work to ensure welds meet established quality standards.
• Perform repair and re-welding according to applicable German DIN and AWS standards.
• Perform field welding when required.
• Identify and report safety, equipment, tooling, or quality concerns.
• Use barcode scanners and computer systems to track production and labor.
• Maintain required welding qualifications and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• Technical degree or diploma in Welding required.
• Qualified to AWS D1.1 standards.
• Ability to pass SCHWING America welding tests and maintain welding certification through periodic testing.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Experience performing position welding.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment throughout the scheduled shift.
• Ability to successfully complete the required Jaeger eye examination annually.
