Part-Time Teller

Teller PositionThe Teller is responsible for ensuring that members receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service. Key accountabilities include processing member transactions, managing the cash drawer and cash assigned from the vault, processing mail and night drop transactions, actively cross-selling all credit union products and services to existing and potential members, assisting members in completing documents and arrangements for payroll deductions, direct deposit and automatic withdrawal, address changes, stop payments and safe deposit boxes, maintaining order in the teller area, and striving to attain goals set by the management team. The Teller is also required to attend meetings, conferences, seminars and training courses relating to areas of responsibility, as needed. They must have thorough knowledge of the Credit Union's policies, procedures, programs, products and services as they relate to assigned areas of responsibility and learn current data processing system and general office procedures. They will also perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks which may include typing, filing, computer input, answering the telephone and other duties as assigned. Job duties will be performed in compliance with policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) and the state of Pennsylvania.The fully qualified candidate will have completed the equivalent of a high school education. Previous experience in a sales or financial environment is preferred. Computer skills are required. Interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating with members and employees. The candidate will be results-oriented and motivated. The candidate is also required to have intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).TCAFCU will provide a competitive compensation package comprised of salary based on experience and demonstrated abilities along with incentive. During an entire 8 hour workday, this job requires the physical ability to sit for up to 4 hours, stand for up to 4 hours, and walk for up to 1 hour. The job requires the physical ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. The job requires the physical ability to use hands and arms for repetitive actions such as above shoulder reaching, simple grasping and fine manipulation. The job requires the physical ability to occasionally bend. Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting.
