Speech Therapist

As a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP), you will diagnose and treat patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders. Your interventions in the home setting are vital for helping patients regain the ability to communicate effectively and safely consume nutrition, significantly impacting their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Speech/Language Assessment: Evaluate speech, language, and cognitive‑communication skills to identify deficits and establish baselines. Therapy Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension. Swallowing Disorders: Assess and treat dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), recommending dietary modifications and safe swallowing techniques. Patient Communication: Train patients and families on alternative communication methods and strategies to facilitate interaction. Required Qualifications Valid and current Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Texas. Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an ASHA‑accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA, or currently completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Current CPR/BLS certification. Expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders. Strong active listening and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to suit the home environment and patient capabilities. Excellent documentation skills for tracking progress and updating care plans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
