The IT Field Technician is responsible for evaluating and recommending cost-effective technology solutions to enhance program and administrative operations. This role involves advising leadership on technology trends, overseeing infrastructure and systems management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The technician will support staff with varying levels of tech proficiency and lead IT-related projects to drive organizational efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities Technology Evaluation and Recommendation: Assess current technology systems and recommend cost-effective improvements. Advise leadership on emerging technology trends, risks, and innovation opportunities. Infrastructure & Systems Management: Ensure reliable connectivity and data access for geographically dispersed offices and remote staff. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Manage data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with grantor, HIPAA, and other regulatory technology requirements. Develop and implement cybersecurity best practices and risk management strategies. Technical Support: Provide technical support to staff with varying levels of tech proficiency. Supervise help desk requests and maintain an efficient ticketing system. Develop and deliver user-friendly training and documentation for staff. Project Management: Lead IT-related projects such as hardware upgrades, system migrations, and software deployments. Exhibit excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff. Qualifications Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and IT infrastructure. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
