Fire Inspector – Building Department The Township of Livingston is seeking a full-time or part‑time Fire Inspector for the Building Department. This position will be under the direction of the Construction Official, inspecting and evaluating construction projects to ensure that all work and materials installed conform to approved plans and the fire protection sub code of the UCC. Responsibilities Inspect and evaluate construction projects for compliance with fire protection sub code of the UCC. Work under the direction of the Construction Official. Qualifications Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by course study in a variety of inspection specialties and experience in the building construction trade. Special Requirements Valid Fire Inspector license issued by the State of New Jersey. Valid Driver’s License in the State of New Jersey. Copy of UCC License. Benefits Medical Dental Long‑term disability Short‑term disability State pension plan participation Paid time off Salary Full‑time salary: $75,000‑$85,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
