Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business AnalystJPC Partners is looking for a Senior Business Analyst that can ask the right questions of SMEs to elicit the system needs, document clearly, and work in an environment with ever-changing priorities. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to, requirements elicitation, documenting requirements, and creating process flow and written documentation. Responsibilities: Business Analysis & System EnhancementsElicit, document, and manage business requirements for system changes, market rule implementations, and new market productsTranslate tariff language and market design concepts into clear functional requirementsAnalyze, review, and document current structure and dependencies and use cases of the application or processTrack required tasks through completionAbility to develop/update existing materials and support the team in understanding of requirements or training materials as neededDevelop process flows, RACI diagrams, data mappings and tool documentationCustomer SatisfactionExhibit learning agility and develop a deep understanding of the business functions and processesExhibit a questioning attitude while documenting existing processes and provide recommendations for future efficienciesSkills and ExperienceSomeone who is detail oriented, extremely positive, and passionate about business analysis workExperience in developing business analysis deliverables like requirements documents, As-Is and To-Be process diagrams, use cases, traceability matrices, data dictionaries, business rules, meeting notes, etc.Strong active listening skills with an ability to understand current processes and needs;Strong communication skills in working with a team and providing in-time updates to project manager.Experience using Visio or equivalent process mapping solutionsAbility to work independently, with minimum supervision; Can manage workload and prioritiesSomeone who has worked on projects in cross-functional teams including with business and technical staff in a matrixed environmentSkilled at documentation best practices such as using revision history/version control/requirement unique identifierWilling to learn new things and share knowledge to others; Proactive; ResourcefulB.S. degree in economics, management information systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experiencePreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience using JIRA and ConfluenceExperience with energy markets (ISO/RTOs such as PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, ERCOT, CAISO) or financial trading/clearing environmentsCBAP, CCBA, IIBA or similar business analysis certification
