National Business Manager What You Will Do In this vital role you will partner closely with the National Sales Director to deliver strong sales force performance aligned with brand strategy. You will identify performance trends, geo‑specific opportunities, and use data to drive progress. Core Responsibilities Sales Performance Support Support the NSD in aligning national strategy with brand and corporate goals. Interpret data and trends within specific geographies to highlight brand performance opportunities. Provide analytical support to identify local business opportunities and outline tactics. Partner with SPO to improve analytic tools and enhance information usage. Access & Fulfillment Use analytics to identify opportunities and create pull‑through strategies. Maximize Vision reporting tools to monitor pull‑through progress. Monitor MMIT utilization and optimize delivery. Monitor co‑pay utilization and share relevant insights. Partner with region leadership to optimize RAS, vRAS, and OPM/RAS program deployment. Incentive Compensation Investigate data and IC inquiries to maintain credible compensation data. Have direct conversations with the field on data questions. Partner with NSD/SPO to ensure field understanding of the plan and develop strategies to demonstrate IC, special incentives, contests as performance drivers. Enhance region payouts through opportunity assessments and effective communication. General Sales Support Develop a national engagement plan with the NSD/SPO. Create PowerPoint content and seek internal approvals when required. Serve as contact for cross‑functional partners such as FTM, RAS lead, VSP DM, key OLs, and speakers. Provide interim District Manager coverage when needed. Assist in recruiting and hiring the national team. Gain regional expertise in field processes (Veeva, Sampling, Speaker programs, Congresses, etc.). What We Expect of You Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales/marketing experience. Master’s degree and 6 years of sales/marketing experience. Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of sales/marketing experience. Associate degree and 10 years of sales/marketing experience. High school diploma/GED and 12 years of sales/marketing experience. 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, or programs. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of specialty sales experience (leadership experience highly preferred). Strong sense of responsibility and self‑discipline. Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of the payor environment. Deep knowledge of Amgen‑provided datasets and systems (Vision, repAI, Compass/Veeva, myIC, MMIT, etc.). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to use market & customer knowledge to strategically target messages, resources, and sales activities. Ability to recognize and promote success behaviors and diagnose unsatisfactory behaviors through coaching. Ability to understand and articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusions.
