Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for pre- and post-procedural cardiac patients including cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify cardiac emergencies, and respond appropriately in a fast-paced Heart & Vascular Recovery unit
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care, evaluate effectiveness of care provided, and coordinate with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes
• Operate general monitoring equipment and EKG; document accurately within EPIC EMR
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards and guidelines
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac stepdown or ICU experience
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and identification of cardiac emergencies
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience specifically in cardiac stepdown or cardiac ICU settings
• Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
