Senior Technical Project Manager - Partial Remote (San Diego) Salary range: $135-165k About the Role We're a small, scrappy AI SaaS team building tools for the wealth management industry. We're looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager who can wear multiple hats — part client‑façing scoper, part internal analyst, part project lead. You'll work closely with the COO, CEO, and CTO to keep our roadmap moving, scope new AI work with key clients, and help us decide what to build next. This isn't a role for someone who needs predetermined processes to follow. It's for someone who is driven to create clarity in ambiguity, can think strategically, and is just as comfortable on a client call as they are in a sprint planning session. What You'll Do Stay on top of every feature in flight — where it stands, what's blocked, what's next — so leadership doesn't have to chase status. Meet with key clients (especially our largest accounts) to scope new work, including AI agents, custom skills, and integrations with our emerging SaaS product. Translate client conversations into clear, prioritized work for our dev team. Help shape the product roadmap alongside the CEO based on client signals, usage patterns, and business priorities. Run lightweight project management across the dev team — keeping work organized and writing tickets for the dev team. Do the analyst work: pull data, surface patterns, build the business case for what we should and shouldn't build. Be a thought partner to the leadership team on client health, feature prioritization, and delivery risk. Who You Are 5+ years in a project management, solutions, or analyst/PM hybrid role — ideally from an agency, consultancy, or small SaaS company. Background in wealth management, fintech, or financial services (you can speak the client's language and filter requests intelligently). Comfortable scoping technical work, including AI features (you know what a Skill is) — you don't need to code, but you understand how software gets built. Strong written and speaking communicator — a large part of this job is writing scopes, summaries, and updates clearly. Naturally curious and analytical — you like digging into data and finding the "why". Live to organize - your folders are meticulous and you love spreadsheets. Thrives in small, fast‑moving teams; comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating without a playbook. Take direction when needed. Strong executive presence — can hold the room with C‑suite clients and push back diplomatically when needed. Nice to Have Experience at an agency or consultancy (Robots and Pencils, Nerdery, etc.).
