Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida state PT license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based physical therapy preferred.
• Proficiency with documentation systems and completing evaluations, goal writing, discharge planning, and letters of medical necessity preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with safe patient handling and mobility programs preferred.
• Previous experience precepting students or participating in clinical education preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8 (day shift).
• Must adhere to hospital safety and documentation standards.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services focused on safe patient handling, functional recovery, and discharge planning. Complete thorough evaluations, develop and progress individualized treatment plans, document care in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to remove barriers to discharge. Maintain professional licensure and participate in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
