As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes. Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support. Encouraging self-help activities Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression. Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/ disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, as well as other documentation. Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments. Transporting clients or running errands for clients Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Eighteen years of age or older Pass background check Driver's license with v alid Auto Insurance High school diploma/GED Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities About our Line of Business All Ways Caring HomeCaredelivers quality, compassionate, and individualized care and support that helps people in need of assistance stay at home - all while maximizing their dignity, privacy, and independence.
