Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse in Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized care on a neuro-focused inpatient unit, working with both medical and surgical neuro patients. The role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care. Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: WI registered nurse (RN) license or compact license, BLS (American Heart Association), at least 2 years of inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years, Epic experience, 2 years of relevant neuro experience in Medical Surgical with Telemetry, and pass Telemetry test prior to start. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patients, trauma level II experience, and community hospital experience. Responsibilities: Managing and monitoring neuro patients, including those with multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, trauma, or spinal injuries. Performing comprehensive patient assessments, managing IVs, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Utilizing specialized equipment such as electronic fetal heart monitors, and participating in interdisciplinary care. Certifications: BLS required. Additional Information: The role requires passing a strict Telemetry exam (adult and pediatric). Travelers may need to float as required. Submittal Requirements: Inpatient RN experience of at least 2 years within last 3 years, successful Telemetry test, and pass/fail testing strict criteria.
