Position: Registered Nurse Job Type: Full‑Time / Non‑Exempt Shift Details: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM – Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and occasionally Wednesday Work Location: Crisis – Wake Recovery Response Center – Raleigh, NC Salary/Hourly Wage: $35.00 – $42.00/hour Retention Bonus: $12,000 paid out every 6 months in $3,000 increments Specialties / Licenses or Certifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse State‑specific RN license Summary of Job: The Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served. The RN also serves as a clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Guest Care & Advocacy: Coordinates services with various public and private community health, mental health and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals. Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process. Conducts assessments and treatment plans. Provides individual and family counseling. Participates in the development of educational curriculum. Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes and blood pressure. Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed. Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services, including pharmacy and laboratory services. Compliance & Risk Management: Administers medication as required by protocol. Completes clinical documentation as required. Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies. Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care. Job Requirements: Education/Licenses: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Valid and current state‑specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred). Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Skills: Knowledge of psychiatric medications, their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions. Basic computer skills. Attention to detail. Problem‑solving ability. Assessment and treatment planning skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Effective listening skills. Excellent documentation skills. Trauma‑Informed Care experience preferred. Bilingual preferred. Driving Requirements: If driving is required, must meet all Recovery Innovations driving policy requirements. If not qualified to drive, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed. Miscellaneous Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old (unless state regulations allow a different minimum). Travel may be required based on business needs. Must maintain confidentiality (HIPAA). Second‑Chance Employer. Must pass a seven‑year background check, substance‑abuse test, education verification, fingerprinting clearance, and a three‑year motor vehicle report if driving is required. A Nursing Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process. Physical Demands: May include work close to the eyes and substantial wrist, hand, or finger motions, frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity, eye‑hand‑foot coordination, use of corrected vision, color vision, auditory senses, and the ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Work Environment: May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility; may have contact with agitated or confused individuals; travel may be required across the region. ADDENDUM – Arizona Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Certification/Misc. Requirement: Must be 21 years or older. ADDENDUM – California Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Certification/Misc. Requirement: Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Professional, Licensed Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse (Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Science). MHP or CT as per local terminology; Associate degrees accepted. ADDENDUM – Delaware Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. ADDENDUM – Louisiana Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Certification/Misc. Requirement: Must be 24 years or older. ADDENDUM – Maryland Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. ADDENDUM – North Carolina Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. ADDENDUM – Ohio Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. ADDENDUM – Washington Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred). Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Certification/Misc. Requirement: Licensed Registered Nurse with 1 year of experience preferred (MHP level preferred).
