Job Summary The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents, and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members. Qualifications Education: Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing. Licenses/Certification: Valid RN license in the state; CPR certification. Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred. Job Functions Initiate and lead team conferences in developing individualized nursing care plans. Assess and document resident condition and nursing needs. Implement physicians’ orders accurately and promptly. Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff qualifications. Supervise, direct and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs. Administer medications, start IVs and perform treatments, document as required by company and regulations. Participate in orientation and in‑service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within scope. Ensure economic utilization of supplies and safe maintenance of equipment. Report and record observations and reactions regarding residents. Coordinate nursing care during therapy or procedures by other departments. Interview applicants, recommend hires, assist in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination as permitted by state practice act. Supervise nursing unit, scheduling, and directing staff as permitted. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Directing and motivating workforce. Cooperative teamwork.
