Salary: $170,000 – $270,000 Base

What You Will Do

• Design and evolve backend architecture powering AI-driven healthcare products
• Build scalable distributed systems supporting Ambient AI workflows
• Develop high-performance backend services using Python, Go, FastAPI, Flask, and related technologies
• Lead technical planning and execution for critical platform initiatives
• Design systems capable of operating reliably at large scale
• Build APIs and backend infrastructure supporting clinical workflows
• Drive architectural decisions across multiple products and services
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance across the platform
• Establish engineering best practices for testing, deployment, and maintainability
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards across the team
• Collaborate closely with product, design, clinical, and engineering stakeholders
• Work directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges
• Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews
• Build cloud-native systems using AWS infrastructure
• Contribute to AI-powered healthcare products used by thousands of clinicians daily
• Drive technical initiatives from ideation through production deployment

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5–15 years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend engineering experience
• Experience building distributed systems in production
• Experience working at high-growth startups or technology scale-ups
• Strong Python engineering experience
• Experience designing and scaling backend services
• Strong system design and architecture fundamentals
• Experience building cloud-native applications
• AWS infrastructure experience
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience operating systems at meaningful scale
• Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience operating in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
• Ability to drive projects end-to-end
• Customer-facing or stakeholder-facing experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries is highly preferred
