Laser Set Up Operator

Laser Operator A local manufacturer in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join their team on the first shift. This role involves operating and setting up CNC laser machinery to ensure precise cutting and shaping of materials. Responsibilities Set up CNC laser machinery. Read blueprints and make adjustments based on quality checks. Change out tooling as required. Cut holes in aluminum and carbon steel sheets or rolls. Utilize critical math skills and tape measures for accuracy. Use various quality instruments such as gages and calipers. Essential Skills Proficiency in laser operation and CNC laser set up. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with sheet metal processing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a job shop environment. Proficiency with micrometers and calipers. Pay $25 to $28 per hour. Hours 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (30‑minute unpaid lunch) Monday through Thursday; OT will be worked on Friday (currently working 8–10 hours of OT a week). Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
