Mechanical Engineer

Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and support mechanical systems for advanced aviation flight simulators . In this role, you’ll create 3D models in SolidWorks , interpret aircraft manuals, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring simulator designs from concept to production. If you enjoy hands‑on engineering, problem‑solving, and seeing your designs come to life, this role is for you! What You’ll Do: Design and update 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks Interpret aircraft manuals and technical data for simulator systems Troubleshoot and resolve design or assembly issues Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and production teams Source and qualify components with vendors Support product assembly and testing on the shop floor What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 1–5 years of mechanical design experience Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Strong communication and teamwork skills Hands‑on experience with tools and mechanical assemblies Experience in office and manufacturing floor settings Ability to perform light physical work (occasional lifting up to 50 lbs) Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Other Industries Manufacturing and Design Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Saicon by 2x Get notified about new Mechanical Engineer jobs in Urbana, IL . #J-18808-Ljbffr Saicon
