Solids Control Operator - Agriculture Services is a full-time position focused on managing manure and biosolids, utilizing heavy machinery, and handling pumps and fluid systems in Ault, Colorado. Job Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Operating heavy farm machinery, including tractors and specialized manure handling equipment. Solids Handling: Managing, pumping, and transporting agricultural solids and fluids (manure/biosolids) at on-site and off-site locations. Equipment Maintenance: Washing, greasing, and performing routine maintenance on pumps, PTOs, and other equipment. Job Setup/Teardown: Assisting in setting up and tearing down, which may include managing lines and pumps in varied terrain. Documentation: Completing daily reports and monitoring system levels. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Experience operating large farm equipment is preferred. Skills: General knowledge of fluid dynamics, pumps, hoses, and connections is required. Physical Ability: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift up to 60 pounds, and perform manual labor. Other: Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug test and physical. Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment to meet deadlines. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: Typically $20 - $25+ per hour, with opportunities for overtime. Note This position is distinct from the C&H Solutions solids control roles, focusing specifically on agriculture and waste management, such as lagoon cleaning and manure handling. About This Position Job Summary: C&H Solutions in Ault, Colorado is currently seeking candidates to fill several full-time positions supporting our growing Ag Solids business. The Ag Services position reports to the business unit manager and is responsible for operating heavy farm machinery and equipment, project/job set up and tear down, fluid/solids handling at multiple on-site and off‑site locations in the region. Responsibilities: Operate farm equipment and machinery to support the solids (manure handling) business. Maintain condition of assigned vehicles – wash, grease, maintain PTO. Complete daily documentation and reporting. Monitor pumps to maintain rate, and tanks to maintain levels. Show up on time and ready to work until the job is done. Perform duties outside and be prepared for all weather conditions. Follow and support workplace safety and compliance. Work well in a team environment to achieve objectives and deadlines. Perform various related tasks and duties as assigned. Preferred Skills/Competencies: Experience operating large farm equipment. General knowledge of fluid dynamics, fluid handling – pumps, hoses, connections. Experience with hooking and unhooking equipment from draw bar or 3‑point/PTO. Work safely with understanding of body and equipment placement. Strong mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated success working on/with teams. Ability and willingness to work "seasonal" overtime. Ambitious self‑starter – ability to work with limited direct oversight. Valid driver’s license. Ability to lift 75 pounds.
