Qualifications:

-Active Delaware Special Education teaching certification required

-Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies
-Strong classroom management and communication skills
-Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers

Responsibilities:

-Provide specialized instruction and support to early childhood students with disabilities
-Develop and implement lessons aligned with student needs and IEP goals
-Adapt curriculum, activities, and instructional materials to support individual learning styles
-Monitor and document student academic, behavioral, social, and developmental progress
-Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs
-Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, therapists, administrators, and families
-Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student planning
-Promote positive classroom behavior and social-emotional development
-Maintain accurate and confidential student and educational records
-Create a safe, structured, inclusive, and engaging early childhood classroom environment
