Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated self‑starter who embodies both a passion for dance culture and a love of the event operations space. About Insomniac Insomniac produces innovative, immersive music festivals and events worldwide, featuring state‑of‑the‑art lighting, pyrotechnics, sound design, art installations, theatrical performers and next‑generation special effects. Role The VIP Experience Production Crew ensures the execution of all planned VIP design elements. The BOH Production crew reports directly to the VIP Production Manager and works closely with the department Art Director. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Perform the load‑in (installation) and load‑out of design elements and props Assist with installation of custom environments, 3rd‑party vendor operations, and VIP Decor and Lighting teams as needed Follow detailed drawings to install planned design elements Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks, repair and maintain VIP assets, and use hand and power tools Assist with assembly and dismantle of stage equipment and material handling equipment Communicate project updates to crew leads Comply with company and state safety regulations, operating utility vehicles and heavy equipment as certified Follow safety, corporate and department policies, and respond to emergency repairs Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test and adjust as needed Detect faulty operations, defective material and report to crew leads Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned or needed Qualifications 2+ years art department and/or carpentry experience Festival and/or film production experience strongly preferred Must possess a basic tool kit of hand and power tools Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport; valid credit card for hotel incidentals Experience operating equipment such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift strongly preferred High motivation and superior interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of web and mobile technologies and two‑way radio; working mobile device (preferably smartphone) Ability to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 75 lbs and work 8+ hours per day as needed Work Environment Ability to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments May work in drastic temperature climates Willingness to travel to events during holidays, evenings, and weekends as required Equal Employment Opportunity Insomniac supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants regardless of age, ancestry, color, religious creed, family and medical care leave, disability, marital status, domestic partner status, medical condition, military and veteran status, political affiliation, national origin, citizenship, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation and any other basis protected by applicable law.
