. This is an on-site, contract opportunity designed for an Associate-level physician who is ready to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a community-focused environment.

As a Locum MD, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and support patients across child, adolescent, and adult populations. Here, , you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and positive mental health outcomes. This contract role offers a yearly salary interval and provides meaningful professional flexibility while maintaining an on-site presence in Anadarko.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for child, adolescent, and adult patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications as clinically appropriate
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric consultation when needed
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuity of care through clear communication with referring providers and care teams
• Provide on-site psychiatric coverage for scheduled clinics and patient care needs
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the psychiatric service line

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Valid medical license in good standing; ability to obtain licensure in the practice location
• Associate-level clinical experience in psychiatric assessment and treatment
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, treatment modalities, and medication management
• Experience working with child and adolescent populations is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient, family, and team interactions
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site, contract-based care model
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and cultural competency
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary medical practice team

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-5p)

No call requirement

Setting: Onsite or remote

Patient Volume: 12-16 per day

Case Types: Adverse childhood events, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bulimia, anorexia, some crisis intervention, and some autism

Support Staff: Social workers and behavioral health techs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Additional Certifications: DEA, ACLS, and BLS
