Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Floating Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care in a 12-bed ICU with a patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and administer titratable drips
• Mix and administer medications and perform patient hygiene care
• Float to Emergency Room to assist with call lights, medication pass, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws as needed
• Float to Med/Surg and take a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients, or serve in an aide capacity covering up to 12 patients
• Document patient care using MedHost EMR; holidays required; no call required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience in Emergency Room and Med/Surg settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability and willingness to float to ER and Med/Surg departments
• Must be eligible to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements (fingerprints required for all travelers in NM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene in an ICU setting
• Familiarity with MedHost EMR
